Dr. John Herrington, the world's first indigenous astronaut, reads his book 'Mission to Space' to a packed Summer Thursday crowd at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, Gaylord-Pickens Museum. Dr. Herrington is a member of the Chickasaw Nation in Oklahoma and flew to the International Space Station in 2002 aboard the shuttle Endeavour. Summer Thursdays are one way the Oklahoma Hall of Fame celebrates FREE FAMILY FUN. Every Thursday from Memorial Day to Labor Day, we encourage families to join us for a story, movie and arts & crafts with FREE admission. Summer Thursdays are made possible by Allied Arts OKC and the Inasmuch Foundation. Planning your visit to the Oklahoma Hall of Fame?
